According to Chogon at Cyan, It's on "indefinite hold" and "the ultimate future of MORE UruLive will be determined over the coming months. If or when moneys become available we will reassess the roadmap at that time." His message is far more positive than the doom-sayers are willing to admit, it seems. I hope when Cyan gets a chance he comes out and whoops your collective butts for being such pathetic downers. I mean, really. Boo hoo. It's embarrassing. Stop it.

Personally, I still much prefer the old KI version, which looked as if the D'ni had actually designed it and it had been adapted without anyone really understanding it completely. It would have really given a sense that we were using D'ni Technology, and that we were limited by our lack of understanding of it.

There was also a version that was nearly identical to the current one, but which I still think looks nicer overall:

I remember doing this without a patcher - never mind, it was on Live. But the patcher doesn't really do anything for me, it does appear to be widescreen, but there's still distortion.

Problematic, probably (at least until sufficient people knew that it was official). We've been extremely careful to use Cyan's scenery and props but leave the IP (story) alone. [Though we do value Yeesha as a personal friend, I guess. ]

And my point was that I'm not sure I call Myst 5's actions 'proof', and moreso, we can't even be sure they WERE eating. I never saw them doing this, but then I never saw any bahro except the eyes, and the ones appearing on call for the slate. Oh, and the ending.

But as far as I'll concede the fact is that it's a good indication they eat. And that particular bahro ate something from the ground, be it rocks, grubs, buried roots, seeds, or cosmic fluff.

I think indeed it matters on the bahro, what they prefer taste-wise. If they're omnivores, then that range is very large, and can well include explorers. But I think most bahro like us would have a thing against eating obviously sentient species. No, if they can talk back we don't eat them on the whole. But the rest are fair game.

...new defense plan. We all dress up in sandwich-boards that read "I AM NOT FOOD" translated into as many languages as we cna find, including D'ni and whatever the language of the natives (who was it again? Can't recall) who lived by the cleft is.
